A reflection on the 4th Anniversary of the Africa Educates Her Campaign and our community work in 2024
Four Years of Educating, Empowering, and Acting
Greetings everyone,
This video serves as a reflection and guidance on what took place in 2024 to mark the 4th Anniversary of the Africa Educates Her Campaign.
Although we did not host an official anniversary celebration as we usually do, 2024 was a year of deep, meaningful, and impactful community work. Rather than a single event, we chose action, presence, and service.
Throughout the year, we strategically participated in international and national events, using these platforms to introduce Africa Educates Her to wider audiences through comment sessions, peer discussions, and knowledge-sharing spaces. This allowed us to amplify girls’ education issues beyond borders and into global conversations.
Some of the key engagements in 2024 included:
-
Participation in the first UN Summit of the Future in Angola, held at the Academia Diplomática Venâncio de Moura (ADVM), located in Cidade do Kilamba, where we contributed to discussions on education, youth, and sustainable development.
-
Attendance at the UNITEL Startup Summit Angola, engaging with innovation ecosystems and advocating for education and digital inclusion for girls.
Echoes of Resilience: The Silent Struggles of Angola's Mwila Tribe" || Indigenous people
-
Continued grassroots work with Mumuila Tribe women, displaced within Angolan territory, supporting education awareness, dignity, and empowerment.
-
Interactive conversations with women begging on the streets, listening to their stories, identifying barriers to education, and offering guidance and referrals where possible.
Breaking the Cycle: "How can AI intervene to change the future of vulnerable young girls victims of teenage pregnancy?"
-
Training and equipping a young girl, a victim of child pregnancy, with basic digital skills to support her reintegration, confidence, and future opportunities.
-
Supporting a woman living with Hepatitis B, who tragically lost newborn children before the age of five due to transmission, through awareness, dialogue, and community-based support.
-
And many more acts of service, advocacy, and silent interventions that may not always appear in photos but changed lives.
The Africa Educates Her Campaign remains rooted in action over ceremony, impact over applause, and community over comfort.

Many of you may have been waiting for or looking forward to a formal celebration of the 4th Anniversary of Africa Educates Her. While the format was different last year, the mission remained strong, alive, and growing—educating, empowering, and standing with African girls and women, wherever they are.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
The work continues.
